still NOT final cover art
Despite the apparent stillness reflected in the deep pool that is the coeur de lion website, our little legs have been kicking away in many directions, but mainly – we hope – forwardly.
Pyrotechnicon has passed through the proofreading stage thanks to Abigail Nathan at Bothersome Words and this weekend I will be slaving over a hot pc laying out Adam’s finely polished words for the pbook version, as well as making ‘significant progress’ (TM) on finalising our gorgeous (and surprising) cover.
I’ve also been interviewed by the Small Press Underground Networking Collective’s ‘Meet the Publisher’ splog post series, as well as a separate interview forthcoming from the lovely Conflux 8 people.
On 8 August I’ll be talking to authors about the pluses and minuses of epublishing and joining in a panel discussion at the Australian Society of Authors.
And on 28 and 29 September, I’ll be in Canberra as editor guest of honour for Conflux 8 doing many things including:
- delivering my keynote speech, ‘The Editing Apocalypse’
- joining Adam Browne and Jack Dann to launch Pyrotechnicon
- taking part in many panels, and
- generally enjoying the spec fiction goodness that is Conflux.
